Back story.
One of my favourite designs, although I am not sure why I did it !!  At about this time I was doing some redesign work for John Fitch and Alan Spiller in the USA.  Basically redesigning John’s Pheonix model.
Various discussions about configuration and this was a proposal which would use a transverse front wheel drive powertrain such as the Mini, put in the back so ending up with a very compact mid engined car.
